Christmas Twigs is one of those sites you can’t help but browse. It is an online shop that specializes in Christmas items from decor to costumes. The site features personalized Christmas stockings, musical Pipka snow globes and a surprising range of high-end specialty holiday decor items such as the pictured Father Christmas.
As we visited the site in the heat of summer we were excited to see Christmas Twigs has a blog because we’re big believers in the personalized aspect of selling online that can be accomplished by blogs. Alas, the blog hasn’t been updated since last December and that did put a damper on any temptation we felt to make a purchase.
The eye candy aspect of the site makes it clickable but buyer beware: there are some red flags when if it ever comes to actually purchasing from the site. While the site does list a phone number located in Utah we could not find a physical name and address for their location and one of the email addresses on the site pointed to the name of an actual person. Worse, if you select an item to purchase you are transferred off the site to complete the transaction, not always the most secure way of doing business online.
Our recommendation before buying from Christmas Twigs would be to contact them to see if they are still in business an then to check with online review sites and the Better Business Bureau for actual customer experiences. They may have tempting things to click on but we’d feel better knowing that someone was actually there during these months of summer when we’re thinking of decorating for Christmas and looking to buy.
